Training of Coaches
To extend the reach of coaching into as many Title I schools as possible, you might want to consider this option. A cadre of coaches will be trained to execute and monitor the school-wide transformation in schools.
A school-wide transformation is essential to increase collective efficacy among teachers and to help students from disadvantaged homes develop optimistic mindsets about learning. If you have more than one Title I school in your district, having a cadre of coaches trained to implement and monitor the process would be most efficient. An expert will be involved for the duration of the six-month coaching platform to work with coaches, collect and analyze data, and ensure implementation to fidelity. This program, based on years of research, begins in August and ends in January.
